Problem of the Week

Updated at Oct 17, 2016 3:38 PM

This week we have another calculus problem:

How can we solve for the derivative of \({x}^{\frac{17}{2}}\)?

Let's start!

\[\frac{d}{dx} {x}^{\frac{17}{2}}\]

Use Power Rule: \(\frac{d}{dx} {x}^{n}=n{x}^{n-1}\).
\[\frac{17{x}^{\frac{15}{2}}}{2}\]
