# Problem of the Week

## Updated at May 15, 2017 10:43 AM

This week we have another calculus problem:

How would you differentiate $$\frac{5}{{x}^{2}}$$?

Let's start!

$\frac{d}{dx} \frac{5}{{x}^{2}}$

 1 Use Constant Factor Rule: $$\frac{d}{dx} cf(x)=c(\frac{d}{dx} f(x))$$.$5(\frac{d}{dx} \frac{1}{{x}^{2}})$2 Use Power Rule: $$\frac{d}{dx} {x}^{n}=n{x}^{n-1}$$.$-\frac{10}{{x}^{3}}$Done-10/x^3
